  1. Hello everyone, I'm writting this post in order to inform you about what has been done sine last content update on WoD, what is planned to do, but also to ask for your opinion! As you might have noticed, last weeks, Tanaan Jungle and the shipyard have been added on our realms, as more content, which has brought its share of unforeseen events that I spent time to fix since the release. As the tracker is getting less and less reports (I'm talking here about Tanaan Jungle and Garrison reports), I think the massive issues wave has been stabilized. During this time, our friend @Davethebrave was in charge to keep progressing about Hellfire Citadel scripting. We won't conceal that the biggest part of our team has been assign to Legion development, because PvP needs a lots of work to get balanced correctly, also we are missing some PvE content. You'll probably note yourself, because of our regular and well-filled updates, that the team is more focusing on Legion than the other ones. Which doesn't mean we are giving up the old ones. Anyway, concerning WoD, an update containing misc fixes should be applied tomorrow. We won't add any major feature, only a few garrison followers, also some spell fixes, but let's check directly the update pack when it's released. Most of the work is about tracker tickets. As you might have understood, we are now 2 devs full-time focusing on WoD. I'm gonna explain you shortly our expectations: It's planned that DaveTheBrave keeps working on Hellfire Citadel until it's done (spoiler alert: the first wing is probably gonna be released in less than 2 weeks!), so nothing really surprising here. On my side, I'm facing a few alternatives. I'm not concealing my best skills which are related to garrisons, and I know there is missing content, but we need to focus things to progress correctly. So, here is a list of possibilities, but you surely can suggest anything else you would like us to focus (on WoD especially !): Spell Fixes Critical PvP mechanics (specify) Missing Garrison buildings (specify) Missing features (specify) Implementation of Shipyards level 2/3 Improving and adding content in Tanaan Jungle To provide your answer, just answer the poll upper.   2. Content 6.2: Hello world! This post follows the one detailing the development progress about the Garrisons. Indeed as most of you might have noticed, this system has not experienced any content update since several months. Well, this is for a specific reason. Basically: we are working on 6.2 content! Being in charge only of a part of the content related to this patch, I will only talk to you of this aspect here: Tanaan Jungle: The area will now be accessible! Be ready to increase your ilvl in order to get prepared for our next PvE releases... Let's look at this in more detail: Introduction questline : You will be able to unlock access to the zone by following the quests leading you there, as well as your outpost. This will allow you to have several sellers, trainers, and also a portal to the zone of Ashran! More than 50 rare creatures available! Most of these will be available with their respective loots. More than 50 treasures available through the whole zone! Train yourself to improve your best jump and parkour skills, since you are surely going to need it if you can't fly in Draenor! The zone also grants you access to a new world boss. Be prepared to fight against http://www.wowhead.com/npc=94015/ ! Shipyard : The first level of this feature will be available. This is going to allow you to start using the new currency http://www.wowhead.com/currency=1101/oil. Introduction questline : This quests will lead you to build your Shipyard, and will allow you to discover all of its features in an assisted way. Ships: Build your ships, improve their quality, and raise up your fleet power in order to reign over Draenor seas! Missions : Enjoy the new shipyard mission system, now functional, but take care to not fail them often... Otherwise your ships may get destroyed! Item upgrade : Item upgrade feature is finally ready! You will be able to improve the stats of your gear, and you will probably need it during incoming months... This list is unfortunately not exhaustive. More surprises are awaiting for you... PS : Most of you probably already know, but the Tanaan Jungle is an extremely dense area, and apart from what has already been told above, some aspects will be missing... I am thinking in particular of the progression towards new reputation, the accessibility of a large number of daily quests, and even to the quests of the Garrison Campaign type allowing you to progress in the story. In other words: to bring you closer to the legendary quest. No worries, these aspects will be treated continuously after the release, and obviously won't get abandoned. Even though my time will be shared with the development of new content on Legion, I will do my best to provide an interesting progress from the point of view of a player.   3. Hello, I had a look at all your posts, and I fixed most of them with last update, or it's gonna be fixed after next one. About the issues of garrison upgrading, these are specific cases, so I will need you to report it at most appropriate places as bugtracker, GM tickets (sometimes it's basically a quest to add on your char, considering the faction of this one). I'm locking this topic, if you can notice any new bug appearing, please let me know on bugtracker, in "Garrison" category. Thanks for your feedbacks !
  4. Hi everyone, Garrison level 3 have been released recently, but I have been missing feedback sadly, so there might be remaining issues. That's why I invite you to give us feedback about this new level, if you notice anything wrong about quests, vendors, spawns, building mechanics etc. Please don't report such things as Monuments, or specific systems missing, we intended to not script it for the moment. Don't forget that we need a clean format for the reports, to get things fixed faster: - Faction of the character - Steps for reproducing the issue. - If possible, any image or video related to this issue. - And please, add some wowhead links to your reports, if it concerns any quest/NPC/Gameobject/spell.   5. Hello there, I know you didn't get informed well about this part of the game, and I also know many of you have been waiting for that. Here come the good news, I'll start working on tier 3, starting on next Monday! Those last days, I started to check the zone and managed to add some spawns. The biggest "issue" with me being my huge lack of information, as I don't have such a big knowledge of the game, I decided to ask for your help! Starting tonight, I'll put tier 3 on our test realm for both factions. Quests http://www.wowhead.com/quest=36614 and http://www.wowhead.com/quest=36615 will now work properly, and you will be able to upgrade your Town hall. So you'll see what I've already added in the zone, which was empty (don't expect anything crazy, there's basically almost nothing more than in tier 2, please remember that the feature is barely started). One more time, Firestorm needs help from its community, to provide some quality content. So I will ask the more motivated and volunteers of you to check the state of things, then most important part : sharing with me missing elements, or what shouldn't be there anymore. Any information tier 3 relative only will help me. Here is a rundown of the things that might interest me : Specific questlines Adding/Removing specific entities (creatures, game objects) Special events I think there's already enough to start working with. Important detail: Don't expect everything you are going to report will be fixed or even worked immediately. Some mechanics will be organized by priorities order, my mission is above all to get the whole zone working properly. The "tweaking" will not take place at this time, but will be continuously carried out until Level 3 is released. Regarding how to notify me issues you meet : I know most of you know the bug tracker well, but I also sadly know that many of you keep using the forum to report things. I'm personally against this, that's why I'm locking this topic. So, please, send me all your reports on the bug tracker, starting your tickets title with a prefix as [Garrison Lvl 3], so I'll know where the report comes from. (Obviously, your ticket will have to remain in category "Garrison") Here we are, I hope I didn't forget anything, I count on your help so we can get this working live as soon as possible. I would like to release it at next update if possible (so not the one from 08/08/16). If you have any question about how to test, or in relation with garrisons, do not hesitate to contact me in PM. You will be in touch with core developers, who will try their best to script what you need, as new SmartAI actions/events. I would like to add one more detail about the scripting pace : an earlier announcement stated that we would keep up with a rhythm of one building per week, wrongly so. Some buildings are more complex than others to put in place than others, and we are therefore not able to give a fixed scripting time in advance. However, please be assured that the developers in charge of the garrisons are doing their very best to keep up with a sustained rhythm of release. =================== 01/23/2017 EDIT =================== Hey there ! As most of you have probably noticed, this post has been kind of given up... There are some reasons to explain this : - First of all, a large majority of buildings are now accessible, which has led us to believe that the developed content was sufficiently advanced to start worrying about advancing on other fronts. - Also, the remaining buildings use slightly more complex systems than the rest, and faced with a lack of data to support us, it was better to move on. - Finally, the release of Legion having arrived, and being the only developer in charge of Garrison system, I had to be assigned to new tasks, although I was still making regular interventions on WoD, we stopped the development of new buildings. Let's simply say it, it's not planned soon to keep working on missing buildings (which of course does not mean never, we simply have other priorities at the moment).You will get informed in a very short time about what will happen on WoD soon, I'm currently preparing some explanations. Anyway, thanks a lot for your patience, your understanding, and I will do my best to satisfy most of you with the next update.   13. Hi there, I noticed a few times people complaining about wrong balancing into garrison scripting quality between Horde and Alliance. There are no distinctions, and if you can notice precise bugs, thank you to visit http://tracker.ashran.com/projects . There is a section for Garrison, which is splitted into a few precise categories, dissociated by faction, so you can report exactly what's wrong in the side of your faction. Anyway, about your report, those NPCs aren't even supposed to be spawned in Garrison at level 2, it's spawning each day randomly in Garrison level 3. It's going to be removed as soon as possible.
