  1. It's been about 2 weeks since the Sinister Gladiator PVP season started on our BFA realm, Sethraliss and we wanted to take this opportunity to first congratulate all gladiators from the Dread Gladiator season, and then talk a bit about this second season: the changes we made, and what's planned. DREAD GLADIATOR SEASON RECAP As announced in our end of season 1 post, we decided to reward both the 3v3 and the 2v2 bracket on Firestorm. We know that's not how it is on retail but the thing is we don't have nearly as many players as retail, which makes playing 3v3 tedious and thus makes 2v2 an easier alternative since it requires less people queueing at the same time. We understand that 3v3 is where the team composition and strategy really shines, and it's what makes it so thrilling, but the reality is that players tend to abandon this bracket and prefer to focus on 2v2 on Firestorm. With that cleared up, here is the list of our season 1 gladiators: Rank 1 Achievement (Dread Gladiator title, also includes the Gladiator title): 3v3 Bracket (>2k rating) Kylíejénner Lastrequiem Rowdy Pentikor Яхико Чишимнелапу 2v2 Bracket (>3k rating) Momohennì Baranovic Яхико Tokuchi Nickrosh Dinzorequiem Ccrogordie Vengevin Roamiqez Vlideir Yarkiel Misturtle Insulolz Gladiator Achievement: This achievement is being handled automatically in the 3v3 bracket, we gave it to the top 25 players of the 2v2 bracket as well: so the 13 people listed above, plus: Bérgen, Dolittleyo, Kylíejénner, Hardia, Фус, Porstarjager, Ilyzorka, Kakegurui, Voidslave, Wìntrader, Армагеддонд and Чебат. GLADIATOR TITLES CLEANING The Gladiator title is supposed to be a title that you only keep for one season: it's supposed to show everyone that you're fairly capable in PVP. The issue was that on Firestorm, once you had this title it was never removed: you could have had it on MoP 5 years ago, transfer your character from expansion to expansion, and still have it on BFA today, which doesn't make much sens: you should keep the seasonal gladiator titles, to show everyone how strong you were on that particular season, but being a champion 5 years ago doesn't mean you're still capable of throwing a good punch! With that being said, we removed the title on every character that doesn't have the gladiator BFA season 1 achievement (25 people received it from the 2v2 bracket, listed above, plus around 15 that had it from 3v3 generically) or the gladiator BFA season 2 achievement: Now when you'll see a Gladiator, you can be sure he's someone still worthy of the season 2 throne! Once the season 2 is over and the season 3 has started, we'll remove the title to people that don't have the season 2 or season 3 achievement, meaning those that only had it in season 1 will lose it: we have to do it that way because we're giving the gladiator title in 2v2 at the end of a season, and it would be pointless to directly remove it. Note: We are aware that the other rank titles (combatant, rival, duelist, and challenger) are supposed to work in the same way, but they didn't feel as important to fix as the gladiator one which is the highest rank. We also removed the Dread Gladiator and Sinister Gladiator titles to anyone that didn't have its corresponding achievement: since Blizzard re-used old title ids for those 2, several people got their hand on them, which was obviously not intended. SEASON 2 CHANGES & PLANS During the development of the 8.2 client, we took so time to look into PVP and one of our developers made some improvements to the whole system: First of all, PVP Brawls have been added: Southshore vs. Tarren Mill / Gravity Lapse / Arathi Blizzard / Packed House / Warsong Scramble / Deep Six are all part of the pool. Every two weeks, one of them will be available, each with their own custom rules: give it a try! Rating changes calculations have been improved to avoid abuse cases by teaming up with someone whose rating is very far from yours, or leaving the arena mid-game. Queuing improvements (those went live only a couple days ago): the system tries to match your team against one that's around your MMR. Each minute that passes extends the search "range", and if you're in queue for 10mins you'll be match against anyone regardless of MMR. Match History logs has been improved: as soon as a match is found, all participants are logged: even if some leave the match at some point, everyone will appear on the match history. (We're aware that the damage/heal/kill/death log is sometimes wrong in some circumstances) Even though this is not exclusive to PVP, we now have a Role Check system: your "friends" won't be able to sneak tag when you're grouped with them! On top of that, we have a few additional ideas, among others: logging traits, talents & honor talents of all players in the match history. adding a spectator / replay feature. Both would be enjoyable improvements for players, and would also make it easier for us to spot potential issues with certain spell interractions. Finally, as you may have guessed, we also plan on giving rewards for the 2v2 bracket on season 2, in continuation with what we've been doing for a while. If you have any suggestions concerning PVP as a whole (what you'd like to see added, what could use some change, etc) feel free to comment under this thread, or contact an administrator on discord! Thank you for reading, and good luck to every fighter out there! The Firestorm Team
  2. Removing the decay in 3v3 will make it so even less people will tag. It will also allow some people to secure a high rating at the beginning of the season, never to play again (so it becomes impossible for them to lose rating). I'm not sure it's a good idea.
  3. With Sethraliss, our BFA Realm upating to 8.2.0 on Monday 18th November, you will need to update your client in order to connect! We've made it as simple as possible, continue reading for a simple tutorial: NB: The full client downloads every game data right away: it takes longer to download and requires a soft like bittorent, but once it's done you will have the whole game ready. The minimal client is smaller, faster to download, but will then download missing datas as you're playing, slowing you down. FOR WINDOWS: You have the 8.0 Client and you just want to update it: Download the 8.2.0 .exe here: http://fstorm.cc/82-Download (it is compressed in a .rar) Open your FS BFA client folder, where your current .exe is located, place the .rar you just downloaded there, and extract it. Your current .exe will be replaced (So you will no longer be able to log on 8.0) with the new one, click on it and you're on! You are using the launcher: Just restart your launcher once the 8.2 update is applied on Sethraliss: it will download the missing files for you. You don't have the game yet, and want to start playing on 8.2 Here is the full torrent link Here is the minimal client link: http://fstorm.cc/82-Download. Just extract it and start the .exe ! Please note: The first time you will open the 8.2.0 client, if it wasn't downloaded from the full torrent nor by the launcher, it will take a bit of time (between 2-5 minutes) to download the missing files, but in the meantime nothing will appear on your screen, that's normal ! Do not open it 43 times, just once and then wait a bit. Once it's done, you will be fully set up! FOR MAC: You want to download the full torrent You prefer to download the minimal client: http://fstorm.cc/82-MAC-Download In both cases, you will need to do those following steps in order to be able to play: If you have downloaded the full torrent, unzip it and then find the mac .zip in it. If you downloaded the minimal client, this is the only zip you will have so no worries! Extract the .zip into a folder (we will call it "WoW FS BFA") Open a terminal, and place it inside the WOW FS BFA folder Type the following command in the terminal: sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine ./World\ of\ Warcraft.app Launch World of Warcraft, you're good to go! If you have troubles updating, you can write contact our staffmembers on the support channel of our Discord, or you can create a forum post here
  4. We have always given the rewards on the most active bracket. Last season on Legion we even only gave rewards in 2s because 3s weren't active at all. This is a private server, we don't have the same population as retail, hence the need to adapt. Sorry that it disappoints you. Although, your complain about us advising you at the last moment has been heard, we'll indicate that for the season 2, rewards will be given in both brackets. (provided both are active enough, again) I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that if you wish to help the server, in PVP for instance you are free to apply as QA: you will then be able to report bugs, and discuss with developers / admins about what could be improved. Whining on those kinds of posts doesn't do anything good. Pantoufle
  5. The current PVP season on Sethraliss, our BFA realm will end on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 at 06:00 PM (server time). The ladder will be frozen at this point, and we will proceed to the usual end of season checks for wintrades. The rewards will be given the following week (an announcement will be made when they are done, do not worry!). A brief interseason will then take place, while we wait for the Season 2 to begin, which will be on the 8.2 client coming soon! The rewards will be distributed to 2v2 and 3v3 regardless of the factions (since 2v2 is our most active ladder, we're extending rewards in this bracket.) Please note that you need at least 50 games played to be eligible for rewards, and that depending on the state of the ladder post-check, the thresholds may be changed. (If they do, we will update this post) Here is the list of rewards for 2v2: Top 1 to 13: Dread Gladiator Title, Achievement and Mount. Top 14 to 25: Gladiator Title, Achievement and Mount. Here are the rewards for 3v3: Top 1 to 7: Dread Gladiator Title, Achievement and Mount. Unlike previous expansions, the other titles & achievements for Combatant, Challenger, Rival & Duelist are given automatically to players during the season on both brackets, and the Gladiator one is given automatically on the 3v3 bracket. Good luck and congratulations to all participants.
  6. Following 4 weeks of open PTR, where a lot of people were able to preview the 8.2.0 client update, we're now shipping it to our live BFA realm, Sethraliss! This will take place on Monday, November 18th! The realm will be shut down for a short period of time while we update it, but do not worry, we will keep you posted on Discord, Facebook and Twitter so as soon as it's back up and updated, you are notified. We would also like to thank everyone who took the time to write reports on the PTR 8.2 bugtracker, as those helped us improve the quality of the release, so really, thank you! HOW TO DOWNLOAD / UPDATE TO 8.2.0 CLIENT: Whether you already have an 8.0 client or not, everything is detailed in this quick & easy tutorial we've made for you! BORIS Boris is back on Firestorm! From Friday, 22nd November 4PM until Tuesday 26th November 10AM server time, Boris will be available in all capitals & starting zones on all of our realms! Speaking with him will allow you, once per account and per expansion, to get a free boost to the max lvl (110 on BFA instead), fully geared and ready to start exploring the continents, and discovering the content! NEW CONTENT As we said before, even though our client is updated straight to 8.2 (for practical reasons), we wish to follow the retail order of content release, which means 8.1 patch content first! This post is here to guide you through our different content, namely: 8.1 War Campaign Darkshore open world zone Mythic+ & PVP Season 2 Battle of Dazar'Alor Raid Faction Assaults Below you will find more details about each of those main features. WAR CAMPAIGN Continue what you started on the 8.0 War Campaign! For the Horde, it's all about crippling the Alliance, and it will take you up to the raid Battle of Dazar'Alor! More info is available here For the Alliance, the objective is to set everything up for the attack on the Zandalari capital, and to defeat King Rastakhan! More info is available here The 8.1 part of the War Campaign will be fully scripted, up until your involvements in the Battle of Dazar'Alor! DARKSHORE Darkshore is to the 8.1 patch what Arathi Highlands were to the 8.0, so you can expect to find the same kind of content available here; It's a whole new zone filled with special World Quests, and rare mobs that can reward equipments, mounts, toys or pets. The whole zone will be controlled by one faction, switching every week: while your faction holds the reins, you will get access to world quests in the area, and to the corresponding world boss: Ivus the Forest Lord for the Horde, and Ivus the Decayed for the Alliance. You can find more information about Darkshore here: here Please note that like Arathi Highlands, the Warfront won't be available. MYTHIC+ & PVP SEASON 2 The season 2 of Mythic+ and PvP will begin on Wednesday, 20th November at 12PM (noon server time). in PVP, the Sinister Gladiator season will begin, with updated rewards! To get more info, you can check this link. You will also find the same "conquest" system that was there in BFA's season 1, but with more flexibility in the rewards to help you get the gear you need. They will be following this table: in Mythic+, the seasonal affix will now be Reaping (instead of Infested for the season 1). This special affix will revive all defeated monsters at certain dungeon completion %, meaning you will need to defeat them twice! With this season, a new currency is added: Titan Residuum that can be spent to buy Azerite Armor. For more details on the Season 2, you can click here. The rewards will also be updated, and will follow this table: (please note that the chest generated on the 20th November week will still be a 'season 1' chest and won't fall into this table) BATTLE OF DAZAR'ALOR The second Raid of the expansion, involving Jaina Proudmoore and the Alliance's invasion of Dazar'Alor, the Zandalari capital! What makes this raid special is the fact that your faction will be changed during certain fights, to reflect on each faction's story during the attack. Unlike Uldir, we chose to release the raid wing by wing. So, starting Wednesday 20th November at 12PM (noon server time) you will be able to get in BoD to fight the first 3 bosses: Champions of the Light Grong Jadefire Masters. They will be available in LFR, NM and HM difficulties. If you're looking for a guide of BoD as a whole, here it is! We plan on releasing a new wing every 3-4 weeks, and the full Mythic mode 3-4 weeks after the third and final wing is released (basically a similar schedule to what we had for Tomb of Sargeras or Antorus on Legion). This will allow for a better release schedule and rhythm, without reducing too much ladder competitivity. NEW ALLIED RACES Two new allied races will be available right away, without any requirements: Kul Tiran Humans for the Alliance Zandalari Trolls for the Horde Each of them has its own racial spells, so be sure to check their guide to get the best out of them! ASSAULTS Similar to the Legion Invasions, following a rotation some BFA zones will get invaded by either the Horde or the Alliance. Depending on the zone and your faction, you will either act as an invader, or a defender and will get access to specific world quests: once you've completed 4 of them, you will unlock a quest asking you to do one last effort to help your faction, which will reward you with gear, war resources, ap and reputations. For more information, you can read this guide. This is it, our 8.2.0 client update, including a lot of new content for everyone to discover! As explained before, we will be releasing all contents in retail order: you can thus expect the rest of BoD first, then the 8.1.5 War Campaign alongside the 3rd raid, Crucible of Storms, and finally 8.2 content (Nazjatar & Mechagon, alongside the 4th raid, Azshara's Eternal Palace). On a side note, Island Expeditions are nearly done! We know you teased them a while ago, but several unpredictable events delayed their release: rest assured, we haven't given up on them! you can expect 6-7 different islands to be released in the near future, probably alongside the release of one of BoD's wings. The Bugtracker of Sethraliss will also be wiped (since we're upgrading the client, and a lot of changes occurred, old reports might have lost their meaning). It will also be the chance to upgrade its system, to avoid duplicates: Starting Monday 18th, when you'll report an achievement, item, quest or NPC, you will need to give its id (easily findable in its wowhead URL link). This will allow us to post your new report as a comment of an already existing one, if there is. That way, all the information about 1 issue will be given on 1 post, which will be better for players & developers alike. Thanks for your patience, we will be monitoring the update closely to address any issue that arises! See you on Monday! The Firestorm Team
  7. As we announced during our latest Q&A (you can find the transcript here) we're gonna open a test realm accessible to everyone in order to test the stability and get feedback on our 8.2 client: the PTR 8.2 will open on Monday, October 21st. All of the characters from Sethraliss will be copied on it so you can continue your adventure right where you left it! The goal of this PTR is to make sure that the true release of the 8.2 client will be as smooth as possible: everything that works currently on Sethraliss should work after the update, and new content, alongside reworked features will need 'real condition' testing to make sure they are fully operational for the release, that is expected after 3 to 4 weeks of open PTR. A whole new section will be available on the Bugtracker for you to report issues you encounter on the PTR. Our Quality Assurance team will then take care of those reports and give them to our developers who will then be able to fix them. HOW TO DOWNLOAD 8.2 CLIENT: To log on the PTR 8.2, the only thing you need will be the FS 8.2 client: fear not, as we've made this as easy as possible for you! Here is how you'll get access: Download the 8.2 .exe here: http://fstorm.cc/82-Download (it is compressed in a .rar) Open your FS BFA client folder, where your current .exe is located, place the .rar you just downloaded there, and extract it. That's it! With the same client folder you will now have 2 different .exe: the one to access Sethraliss (8.0) and the new one to access the 8.2 PTR Please note: The first time you will open the 8.2 client, it will take a bit of time (between 2-5 minutes) to download the missing files, but in the meantime nothing will appear on your screen, that's normal ! Do not open it 43 times, just once and then wait a bit. Once it's done, you will be fully set up! Now that you know when the PTR will be available, and how you will be able to connect, let's see what you will be able to discover on it! NEW CONTENT As we said before, even though our client is updated straight to 8.2 (for practical reasons), we wish to follow the retail order of content release, which means 8.1 patch content first! Some of you might know what this means, and this post is here to guide you through our different content, namely: 8.1 War Campaign Darkshore zone Mythic+ & PVP Season 2 Battle of Dazar'Alor Raid Assaults Below you will have more details on those content, please remember that the PTR is also here to help us find issues and that your help is valuable to make the 'real release' as clean as possible. Now let's get into those different features! More info is available here The 8.1 part of the War Campaign will be fully scripted, so if you notice any issues, use the bugtracker to make sure we fix them! MYTHIC+ & PVP SEASON 2 With the release of the 8.1 patch on retail started the season 2 of Mythic+ and PvP, so we're doing the same here as we're releasing 8.1 content! in PVP, the Sinister Gladiator season will begin, with updated rewards! To get more info, you can check this link. in Mythic+, the seasonal affix will now be Reaping (instead of Infested for the season 1). This special affix will revive all defeated monsters at certain dungeon completion %, meaning you will need to defeat them twice! With this season, the rewards will also be updated, and a new currency is added: Titan Residuum that can be spent to buy Azerite Armor. For more details on the Season 2, you can click here. This season will 'officially' start on Sethraliss once it updates to 8.2 client, but on the open PTR you will be able to discover and test all of those changes in advance! Same as always, feedback is greatly appreciated here! BATTLE OF DAZAR'ALOR The second Raid of the expansion, involving Jaina Proudmoore and the Alliance's invasion of Dazar'Alor, the Zandalari capital! What makes this raid special is the fact that your faction will be changed during certain fights, to reflect on each faction's story during the attack. On PTR, the first 2 Horde bosses will be available for both factions: Champions of the Light & Grong. The 3rd one, Jadefire Masters will be released on the PTR later, and will be available on Sethraliss when the update gets shipped. They will be available in LFR, NM and HM difficulties. If you're looking for a guide of BoD, here it is! Aaaand, you know the drill, feedback will be valuable on BoD too, so here is the link of the bugtracker again. Depending on the zone and your faction, you will either act as an invader, or a defender and will get access to specific world quests: once you've completed 4 of them, you will unlock a quest in which you will have to defeat the ennemy commander, which will reward you with gear, war ressources and reputations. For more information, you can read this guide. We are excited to bring all of those content to you guys, and hope you are eager to discover it as well! We cannot stress this enough, your feedback will be of great importance to make sure that when all of those content are shipped on Sethraliss, everything will be as good as possible! So tell your friends, download the .exe, log on the PTR starting Monday, 21st October and write reports about the issues you encounter on the bugtracker. The fastest we get feedback, the less time this PTR will last, and the quicker everything will be released on the live server! Thank you for reading, and see you on the 8.2 PTR! The Firestorm Team
  8. Third time's the charm! Following our previous content update, we will be updating Sethraliss on DATE TO BE DECIDED for our 3rd content update! We also wanted to keep you guys posted about 8.2 version, as we've started to work on it: You can expect it to be shipped to live around the MIDDLE OF OCTOBER. This ETA (remember that the E stands for Estimated: this is subject to potential changes) matches retail in terms of release delay, as we'll have had 8.0 patch going for about 6 months. As a reminder, this patch will also put the first PVP & Mythic+ season to an end, starting the 2nd PVP season 'Sinister Gladiator' alongside a new affix for Mythic+ season 2: Reaping! But let's focus first on what this 3rd content update will bring onto Sethraliss! Bring it on!!! ARATHI HIGHLANDS Arathi's zone will be available! A full new zone, including new rare mobs to slain! Each week, the control of the zone will switch faction, allowing the one in control to battle the opposing faction's world boss ! For example, if the Horde is controlling the area, their players will be able to group up to fight the Alliance's World Boss, rewarding 370 ilvl gear! Each Faction has its own World Boss: The Lion's Roar for the Alliance, and Doom's Howl for the Horde. For more information on Arathi's zone, click here. Note: Warfront won't be available in this update. VOL'DUN The last remaining Horde zone, Vol'dun will have its full questline released! World Quests will also be included, which means the Horde territory will now be fully available! FOR THE HORDE! With this zone also comes a new World Boss that will be added in the rotation: Dunegorger Kraulok STORMSONG VALLEY The last remaining Alliance zone, Stormsong Valley will have its full questline released! World Quests aren't ready at this point, but will be added gradually: you will be able to follow those additions on the BFA Live Changelog. With this zone also comes a new World Boss that will be added in the rotation: Warbringer Yenajz DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP Last time we shared was a month and a half ago, here's where we stand now! Island Expeditions are under testing! Currently 3 maps are available: Dread Chain, Skittering Hollow and Rotting Mire. This content should be shipped to live soon, way before the 8.2 with other islands added progressively. This will be that last 8.0 content currently missing! After that, we'll set sail to 8.1 content (see below for more information) The development on old content stuff continues! We're still not sure if we'll make a post for everything that was done, or if we'll add fixes when they are applied on the live changelog, but regardless we will keep you posted about what's worked on! So far, Gilneas has already been applied, and Kezan is under testing. Tanaan Jungle is being scripted, and some old dungeons have been fixed so they can now be completed. The 'Role Check' system is still being worked on: in essence it works, but there are still some slight tweaking to do before we can release it on the live realm. 8.2 is being worked on, with a test realm running. Even though the patch itself will be 8.2, we'll start by scripting the 8.1 content: as stated above, except for the Island Expedition, this 3rd update concludes all content from patch 8.0. We're switching our developers from 8.0.1 version toward 8.2 gradually (a few will stay to ensure Sethraliss gets the attention it needs in the meantime), and focussing our attention first on spell fixing (we already have a list of all changes made on every spells since 8.0.1), as well as the 2nd Raid: Battle of Dazar'Alor, the sequel of our current War Campaign, and PVP invasions! As a reminder, our Quality Assurance team could use your help, especially with the 8.2 patch featuring all its new content! Whether you're more familiar with raids, dungeons, questlines, professions, or classes, you can help us improve the server! You can send your application here (in English) and if you have questions, feel free to ask any admin on discord, or the Head QAs directly (Citryne for PVE side, and Tweek for Class Masters). Thanks for your time, we wish you all good luck & fun while enjoying those new contents! The Firestorm Team.
  9. Third time's the charm! Following our previous content update, we will be updating Sethraliss on Wednesday, July 31st at 11:00AM server time for our 3rd content update! On top of that, we'll be having a special weekend from Friday, August 2nd at 4:00PM to Monday, August 5th at 11:55PM server time, where all experience gains will be x10! Take this opportunity to level up new alts with friends and discover the new content added! We also wanted to keep you guys posted about 8.2 version, as we've started to work on it: You can expect it to be shipped to live around the MIDDLE OF OCTOBER.
  10. Greetings! During our previous announcement we told you guys that we'd release one Uldir LFR wing every 2 weeks, and planned on releasing the full Mythic difficulty alongside the release of the 3rd and last wing: last Wednesday, the 2nd wing was released, which means that next Wednesday the final one is to be delivered on live. Well, we're gonna deliver on our promises, with some extras! Uldir Mythic, alongside King's Rest, Siege of Boralus and the full War Campaign will ship to live on Wednesday, June 5th at 11:00 AM Server time! Note: With this update, the realm ilvl cap will be increased to 395. ULDIR MYTHIC The mythic mode of Uldir will be available on all 8 bosses! Be ready to face them all in their true form and battle your way to the top of the ladder, while ending G'huun's corruption once and for all! All bosses will loot base 385 ilvl gear. In Mythic difficulty, the challenge is increased, with some new mechanics on the bosses, be sure to check them before getting into the fray! We grouped them for you here: Taloc Mother Zek’voz, Herald of N’zoth Vectis Fetid Devourer Zul Mythrax the Unraveler G’huun WAR CAMPAIGN The 8.0 War Campaign will be fully released, both Alliance & Horde sides! Since the release, only the Footholds were available: now is the time to continue what you started, and lay waste on the opposing faction! (NB: you need to complete all available Footholds before continuing the War Campaign questline). Horde side: You will be able to get to the 5th chapter 'The Strike on Boralus' Alliance side: You will be able to get to the 5th chapter 'The Strike on Zuldazar' Note: Island Expeditions are still under development, and won't be released with this update. SIEGE OF BORALUS The last Kul Tiran dungeon, Siege of Boralus will be available in Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulties! EDIT: To unlock this dungeon, whether you are Alliance or Horde, you will need to finish the war campaign. KING'S REST The last Zandalari dungeon, King's Rest will be available in Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulties! EDIT: To unlock this dungeon, whether you are Alliance or Horde, you will need to finish the war campaign. DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP Things have evolved since the last time we shared, here are the standings now: Vol'dun is almost fully scripted and will begin testings shortly. Stormsong Valley is a bit behind, but still progressing. Arathi Outdoors' tests have begun, but the contribution system still needs to be implemented & tested. Islands Expeditions are soon finished and will then have to be tested. Some of our developers began working on 'old content' namely Tanaan Jungle questline, as well as Gilneas & Kezan to improve player experience when leveling. One of our devs is working on implementing the 'Role Check' system for PvP queues (the window that pops up asking you to confirm your role for arenas & BGs). It should be testable soon, and after that will be shipped to live. As a reminder, our Quality Assurance team could use your help! Thank you for your time, we wish you all good luck & fun while enjoying those new contents! The Firestorm Team.
  11. Greetings Everyone! Following our latest news regarding the 1st content update on Sethraliss, here comes the release announcement, including detailed information on what's to come, as well as the shipping date: Wednesday, May 8th at 11:00 AM server time! Note: With this release, the realm ilvl cap will be increased to 385. We also received a message from Boris, who returned from a dangerous adventure around the world. He asked us if he could come and say hi, and we didn't dare say no to an old friend! He'll be joining us on all expansions from Friday, May 3rd at 6 PM to Monday, May 6th 11:59 PM (both server time) In this post, we'll be reviewing in detail everything that's gonna be released. Are your seat belts fastened? Alright, let's go! ULDIR Uldir will be fully released (all 8 bosses) in Normal & Heroic Difficulty, plus the 1st wing of LFR: The Halls of Containment (which will include the first 3 bosses listed below). As opposed to what was stated in our previous post, we chose to release the LFR version of the raid wing by wing rather than all at once. The 2nd Wing should be released 2 to 3 weeks later, and the 3rd and final wing 2 to 3 weeks after the second one, alongside the full Mythic difficulty. The ilvl of gear is as follows, with a hard cap at 385 as stated in the introduction: LFR 340+ / Normal 355+ / Heroic 370+. As a reminder, only non-azerite gear can proc. Bosses: Taloc Mother Zek’voz, Herald of N’zoth Vectis Fetid Devourer Zul Mythrax the Unraveler G’huun MYTHIC+ SEASON 1 Mythic + will be added: this means tougher challenges, new affixes, but also better rewards! Push your key to get the best possible gear at the end of the dungeon, and in your weekly chest. Some changes have been made to the MM+ system, here is a list of the most important ones: Azerite armor pieces (Head - Chest - Shoulders) can only be obtained in the Weekly chest, you cannot get them in the end-of-dungeon chest. You cannot swap gear inside the MM+, so you will have to choose your gear prior to entering the dungeon. You can now Bonus roll inside the MM+: the rolled bonus can contain a random piece from the current dungeon, taking into account the key level to define the base ilvl (item can still proc). On top of the system changes, the affixes themselves underwent some changes (including balancing). Here are the most important ones: Tyrannical and Fortified become lvl 2 affixes, which means they will be present on every key now. There is now one special lvl 10 affix each season of MM+. The first one is Infested: every key of lvl 10 or higher will include this affix during the course of the first MM+ season The affixes present on the first week will be: Tyrannical (2) / Raging (4) / Volcanic (7) (number in parenthesis is minimum key level for the affix to be active). The reward system is in essence similar to the one from Legion: The weekly chest reward is based on your previous week best completion, while the end of dungeon reward is based on the current dungeon's key level. Rewards will be as follow. As a reminder, all looted gear except azerite ones can proc, with a hard cap of 385. Rewards: If you want more information about the Mythic + System, you can check here. DREAD GLADIATOR PVP SEASON For those of you that thrive in the heat of PvP fights, start climbing the ladder in 2vs2 and 3vs3: face your opponents on the arena and prove your worth as a champion of Azeroth! This will be the first PvP season and will last until the second raid, Battle of Dazar’alor is released (expected duration is 4-5 months). Here is a list of the most important features of this system: At the end of an arena match, you will have a chance to get a piece of gear, with its ilvl scaling based on your current rating (see below) Winning a rated arena match, or winning your first rated battleground of the day fills up your conquest progression, and will earn you some gear pieces at specific breakpoints: it starts off at an LFR-level and scales up as you progress. If you fill up your conquest bar entirely for the week, you will now be able to get a weekly PvP cache, with its rewards depending on your highest PvP rank (see below): Everything you need to know can be found here. List of rewards for Season 1: (again, only non-azerite gear can proc, up to a hard cap of 385): Rank Rating EoM* Cache** Cache (Azerite Item) Rewards Unranked 0-1399 340 355 355 Combatant 1400-1599 350 365 355 Elite Appearance - Bracer, Belt Challenger 1600-1799 360 370 370 Elite Appearance - Gloves, Legs, Boots Rival 1800-2099 365 375 370 Elite Appearance - Helm, Shoulder, Chest Duelist 2100-2399 370 380 385 Elite Appearance - Cloak Gladiator 2400+ 375 385 385 Elite Appearance - Tabard / Gladiator Title (50 wins) *EoM = End of Match, occasional **Cache = Weekly PVP Chest, available at Hook Point / Mugambala PVP Hubs WORLD BOSSES Each week (rotation happening on Wednesdays), you will get a new World Quest regarding a World Boss: team up with other people to bring them down, and get a chance to loot a 355+ piece of gear! A different one will be available each week, you can learn more about them here. List of scripted World Bosses: T'zane, The Soul Terror Azurethos, The Winged Typhoon Hailstone Construct Ji'arak BORIS Boris is gone, see you soon On top of that, Boris will be visiting all of our realms the weekend preceding the update! From Friday, May 3rd at 6 PM to Monday, May 6th 11:59 PM (both server time), once per account per expansion you will be able to talk to him and ask him for a free boost. This boost will get you to max level (except on Sethraliss, our BFA realm where you will be put lvl 110), and will include some gear and a bit of gold so you can hop straight into the action! This is it, our first update on Sethraliss! We hope everyone will enjoy all the new content that is being released. You guys still have 1 week to fully prepare, so don't waste your time, and let's see which guild climbs the ladder first, which 5 man groups hold the best key record for high MM+ keys, and who's gonna be the uncontested dread gladiator! PS: Following our latest roadmap, and for those interested, there has been some progress! War campaign is almost fully scripted and needs testing now, alongside Siege of Boralus. King's Rest is already fine. Stormsong Valley and Vol'dun are both at around 3/7 chapters done. Testing sessions will begin shortly. Arathi Outdoors is close to being finished as well, and will then need testing. (scenario is not included) Islands Expeditions have been started! Again, there is no set date for now: it's just to give you guys an idea about what's being done behind the scenes development wise! As you can see, all those new contents need testing before being shipped to the live realm; If you're interested in giving a hand, you can apply to become a member of our Quality Assurance team here. That's all for today! We hope you're excited about all this and wish you all good fortune in the wars to come! (And fun too. Fun is important). The Firestorm Team.
  12. Greetings! This week-end being a special one, we wanted to offer you something special! Double that up actually: You will be able to participate in the Easter Egg hunt, similar to the one we had last year (but updated!) and we'll also put on a promo on the shop! Both will start at 6 P.M. server time on Friday, April 19th and end at 11:59 P.M. server time on Monday, April 22nd. EGG HUNT Based on the one we did last year, if you're playing on Garrosh (MoP), Sylvanas (Legion) or Sethraliss (BFA) you will be able to seek for eggs, some hidden, some in plain sight on all of Azeroth! These eggs will be spread all over the continents: by clicking on them, you will receive random loots, depending on the expansion you're playing on, with the possibility of getting rare collectibles! On top of that, this year, the location of the eggs will change every day! This way, even if you found them all (which you probably won’t) on the first day, you can still enjoy the thrill of the hunt the following days! SHOP PROMO During this timeframe (Reminder: From Friday, April 19th at 6 P.M. server time, until Monday, April 22nd at 11:59 P.M. server time) every purchase of Firestorm points here will include 30% additional points! Now is the time to snatch that shiny mount or transmog you wanted! To see what's available for purchase, please click here, The Firestorm Team wishes you all a happy Easter! See you soon!
  13. Hello everyone, we hope you are all enjoying our newest expansion! We have dedicated all our time and resources to make it the best possible Battle for Azeroth private server, we’re happy with the results so far, and we’re continuously fixing issues that you guys might encounter to make sure the gaming experience is at its best for everyone. Now let’s talk development: When we released the realm Sethraliss, we told you guys that the first big content update would include, among other things, the first wing of Uldir: well there has been some changes! We heard a lot of people complain that, by releasing Uldir wing by wing, it would cut out most of the hype a raid release is supposed to bring: the experience is different than retail, because you would be able to do the first wings several times before reaching G’huun (the final boss) that would be released week later, and the guild race wouldn’t feel the same when you have bosses released 3 by 3, with weeks between them. You probably know where this is going by now: We decided to release Uldir fully in one update, in LFR, Normal & Heroic difficulties (Mythic will be released later, not the next week). Since we have 3 different developers working on the raid, this change of plan won’t actually delay the update by much, and we’re currently expecting to release it late April / early May. As you may guess, releasing the full raid implies heavier testing sessions to make sure that everything works fine: this is made possible thanks to our Quality Assurance team ! If you’re interested and want to help us out, feel free to apply there to join the team! Now let's get to it! ULDIR Uldir will be fully available in Looking for Raid(LFR), Normal and Heroic. All the bosses, loot and achievements released in one single patch: get ready, read the strats with your guildies, and climb the PvE ladder that will be available on our website! As a reminder, we will be releasing the Mythic Mode a few weeks later. Some changes have occurred since Legion, be sure to check them here. Season 1 Special Affix: Infested, for the rest of the affixes you check here. Rewards: DREAD GLADIATOR PVP SEASON For those of you that thrive in the heat of PvP fights, start climbing the ladder in 2vs2 and 3vs3: face your opponents on the arena and prove your worth as a champion of Azeroth! This will be the first PvP season, and will last until the second raid, Battle of Dazar’alor is released. Here is the list of rewards you can get while defeating your enemies. Alongside the ranked system, you will now be able to get a weekly PvP cache, when you cap your conquest, with its rewards depending on your PvP rank: Everything you need to know can be found here. Rewards of the weekly chest, based on your highest rating: WORLD BOSSES Face World Bosses in epic battles. Work with other Champions in order to get those big baddies down and claim their prize! A different one will be available each week: https://www.wowhead.com/world-bosses-in-battle-for-azeroth With this release, we hope to give everyone new challenges to face alone or with friends, both PVE and PVP wise: more content to do every week, with better rewards. Join the battle, get the best gear possible in the meantime to make sure you’re ready for it! Regarding other content still under development and testings, you can expect several updates (no clear roadmap yet: those will be released at different times, but no set date as of now): - War campaign, alongside King’s Rest and Siege of Boralus dungeons. - The 2 last zones: Stormsong Valley in Kul Tiras, and Vol’dun in Zandalar - Arathi Highlands Warfront Thank you for your time, and we hope you are as hyped as us about this! Have fun on Firestorm, and see you next time The Firestorm Team.
  14. I will forward this to the dev in charge, thank you for your report ! Pantoufle
  15. Hi, yeah i'm aware of this "issue" which actually happens when you go on purpose in the zones that "push" you. You just need to be a bit carefull, and stay away (like 1 yard) from the edges of the arena and you'll be fine ! To get out through the stairs, you also have to take an extra step to go by around the corner, which pushes you aswell. Remember that those changes are tentative, if you guys think that this should go, i will find another way to deal with the usebugs. But for now, i'd also like to keep it for a while, and see how you guys get use to it ! Thank you, Pantoufle
