I think it would more effective, if data changes ingame would be directly transferred to the database.
Let's say I just finished a world quest and as a reward it gave me the currency 1000x Order Recourses. Now a server crash occurs and by my next logging in, the quest is already done but the reward is gone. This happens often and frustrates people including me. But on the other hand I can understand, since I encountered this issue during own projects as well. As I don't know how you have implemented the Database (I assume you work with an external database,) I can't tell how to do, what I just tell, but I believe there is a solution to reduce data-loss due to server crashs. Consider to tackle this problem first. It would make for a better and more enjoyable future.
