Addons on Windows 10

2 posts in this topic

Hey guys, I just got a Windows 10 computer and want to download my addons, and when I do, they all save or open as extractable files. I then open my WinRAR and extract the files specifically to the addon folder. As I log on to WoW, I see that none of the addons are there. What m I doing wrong, and how can I properly download them?

Thanks in Advance, Invader Frost(Densenbyo-Grommash)

Which sites are you using? The best safe addon sites are Curse and Wowinterface. Curse even has an addon manager that keeps your addons up-to-date, but that was designed for retail. If you get an exe file, then you might infect your computer with something nasty. If they are selfextracting zip files, you might try to rename them to .zip You might also check your browser and tell it what to do if you download an exe file. My firefox (not Win10) always gives me the option for download or extract.
